Friends,
Thank you for being willing to serve at St. Mary's during the week!
Each month, a Doodle poll link will be sent out to the group. Each priest will indicate any days when he or she is available. It is important that each person list every day he or she is available without regard to what the other priests may have already indicated. That said, you may have preferences about how many Masses you're willing to take in any week, a time-of-day preference, etc. In order to let me know your boundaries and expectations, please complete this short survey. The responses are confidential and will be sent directly to my email.
To use myself as an example, I'm usually able to celebrate 2-3 daily Masses per week, depending on my schedule. I can almost always do Monday and Friday mornings, as well as each Wednesday night except the 4th Wednesday of the month. Tuesdays and Thursdays are harder for me, and I can generally do a couple of Saturdays per month. This is the sort of information I'm looking for to assist in the scheduling process.
Peace,
Fr. Charles
Mass schedule:
Please note that this schedule is new, and despite us publicizing it, there are still times when no one else shows up (particularly on Monday and Friday mornings, and some Saturdays). My thought is that we try this schedule through the end of September, and if it's not working, we can readjust. Even at the largest and most historic parishes throughout the country that offer daily Mass, there are often one or two people who attend on a particular day. The point isn't to pack the pews, but to offer our sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving for the glory of God and the salvation of the world!
Monday and Friday
7:00 a.m.: Morning Prayer with Holy Communion
Tuesday and Thursday
12:00 p.m.: Low Mass
Wednesday
6:00 p.m. Evening Prayer with Holy Communion
Saturday
11:00 a.m.: Low Mass
