The Great Vigil of Easter. Saturday, April 20.
8:00 p.m. Solemn High Mass, with choir. This service is the liturgical highlight of the church year. It begins in the dark and features the kindling of new fire; sung Exsultet; the recitation of salvation history in Scripture and song; Holy Baptism; the "resurrection" of the Alleluias; and a Festal Holy Eucharist. After the service, all are invited to the parish hall for a festive reception. This service lasts approximately 2 hours.
Easter Sunday. Sunday, April 21.
8 a.m. - Low Mass. A contemplative spoken service of Holy Communion in St. George's Chapel, with sermon. This service lasts approximately 40 minutes.
10 a.m. - Solemn High Mass, with choir. A sung service of Holy Communion at the High Altar in the Nave, with music sung by the St. George's Choir, chant, incense, congregational hymns, and sermon. This service lasts approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. After the service, all are invited to the parish hall for a festive reception. There will be an Easter Egg Hunt for the children during the reception.
