Mr. Jami Blakeley
Sacristan & Postulant
Jami Blakeley has attended St. Mary’s since 2022. The son of a Pentecostal pastor, he left the church shortly after college and spent twenty-five years studying and practicing Eastern meditation techniques. Following a powerful reconversion experience in 2016, he returned to Kansas City in 2021. From the moment he first walked into St. Mary’s, he recognized it as home.
Jami describes himself as a “liturgy nerd” and is grateful to serve as Sacristan. He is currently a postulant for the priesthood in the Diocese of West Missouri and a student at the Bishop Kemper School for Ministry.
