He volunteers as a Eucharistic Visitor, serves on the Altar Guild, and is a Diocesan Convention delegate. He also helps with hospitality, outreach, and tech support. On December 1, 2024, Fr. Sean appointed Philip as Senior Warden after serving on the Vestry as Junior Warden.
At the diocesan level, Philip is a member of the Property Committee, Emergency Planning Committee, and Episcopal Veterans Fellowship Group. He recently served on the 9th Bishop's Consecration Committee in charge of security, facilities, and logistics. Philip was adopted by his parents from Seoul and arrived in Kansas City when he was six-months-old. He attended Baker University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Minor in Mass Communications.
