Mr. Philip Lofflin
Jr. Warden
Philip first came to St. Mary's during his Methodist confirmation class in the early 90's to experience high church. After many years as serving as a church accompanist, youth choir director and interim youth director, Philip visited St. Mary's again, decided to make the move from Methodist to Episcopal and was confirmed in 2013.
Currently serving on the Vestry in the role of Junior Warden, Philip is responsible for the building and grounds. This includes maintenance, repairs, safety and security. The position of Junior Warden is selected by the other members of the Vestry each year. The Junior Warden is a volunteer position and not a paid member of staff.
Philip was adopted by his parents from Seoul, South Korea and arrived in Kansas City when he was six-months-old. He attended Baker University where he graduated with a degree in Sociology. In his free time, he enjoys snow skiing and traveling abroad.
