Richard Liantonio
Postulant For Holy Orders
Richard Liantonio is a PhD Candidate in Hebrew Bible in the Centre for Jewish Studies at the University of Manchester. He has a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Bible and Music from Houghton College, and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Nazarene Theological Seminary. His dissertation research focuses on a cognitive linguistic analysis of the conceptualization of happiness in the Psalms and ancient Near Eastern literature, with a particular emphasis on the happiness of God. He has a broad background of over fifteen years of teaching and ministry experience in evangelical, charismatic, and liturgical religious settings. Richard is a postulant for ordination in the Diocese of West Missouri, is married to Jeff Stegner, is catdad to Bagheera, and for fun, sings tenor in the Kansas City Symphony Chorus.
